In another first for New South Wales and Australian Premier Cricket, the finals of this summer’s Cricket NSW McDonald’s Limited Overs Cup will be broadcast live on the country’s premier sports streaming platform, KAYO.
It is also the first time any State Premier Cricket competition around the country has been live-streamed on KAYO.
Broadcast matches will include this Sunday’s quarterfinal between Manly-Warringah and Fairfield-Liverpool, followed by one semi final on February 14 and the final on February 21. All matches commence at 10.00am AEST.
Two of Australia’s best young talents, Ollie Davies and Jack Edwards, have been selected to play for Manly-Warringah in this Sunday’s broadcast match. Fairfield-Liverpool also welcome back Liam Hatcher and Arjun Nair, returning from duties with their respective BBL clubs.
The KAYO agreement, struck as part of Cricket NSW’s Premier Cricket commercial rights and broadcast partnership with InteractSport, follows the recent successful streaming of six Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup matches on the Daily Telegraph website.
Cricket NSW Head of Cricket, Greg Mail, said increasing the coverage of NSW Premier Cricket to a wider audience is consistent with Cricket NSW’s purpose to inspire more people to play and love cricket.
“McDonald’s Men’s NSW Premier Cricket showcases some of our most talented cricketers from around the whole state of New South Wales.,” Mail said.
“We are committed to building the profile and audience for Premier Cricket and inspiring even more young cricketers and lovers of cricket in general to follow this terrific competition.
“Partnering with KAYO is another step towards building the best cricket experiences possible for people to enjoy our game.”
InteractSport CEO, Sam Taylor, said the ongoing broadcaster interest in these matches is a testament to both the quality of Australian Premier Cricket and the appetite for fans to watch it.
“Australian, and particularly NSW, Premier Cricket is the breeding ground for some of the best players in the world,” Mr Taylor said.
“Streaming on KAYO – the destination for Australian cricket lovers –provides further opportunity for cricket fans to watch the games’ future stars.”
